Open call for Horizon Europe Mission Boards
One of the main novelties of the next EU Research and Innovation Framework Programme ‘Horizon Europe’ is the development and implementation of ambitious ‚missions‘ to specifically target global challenges.
Missions in Horizon Europe will be high-ambition, high-profile initiatives with the aim to deliver a transformative impact for society, the economy, and/or environment, in relation to the challenges faced by European citizens.
Such missions will be defined and designed with the assistance of Commission expert groups (‘the Mission Boards’) consisting of a maximum of 15 independent high-level experts from academia, industry, international agencies or civil society organisations.
Get involved and shape the Commission's approach!
The Commission has just launched a call for expression of interest for members of five Mission Boards to help specify, design and implement missions for Horizon Europe on the following topics:
- Adaptation to climate change including societal transformation
- Cancer
- Healthy oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters
- Climate-neutral and smart cities
- Soil health and food
Information on how to apply can be found here.
The closing date for application is 11 June 2019.
