The European Commission has recently launched its 2020 call for project proposals under the LIFE programme.

Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 COST Open Call (OC-2020-1) will be postponed by 6 months and will now close on 29 October.

The last calls in the European Innovation Council (EIC) and FET work programme will open on Thursday 26 March. For this purpose, the network of National Contact Points to the EIC (Access2EIC) will hold an information day on this day from 9:30 - 15:30. From 9:40 - 11:15 the EIC Pathfinder Team will present news about the FET Open and FET Proactive Calls to the European Commission. Afterwards, news on the SME instrument will be presented.

To fight against the spread of COVID-19, the European Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) have recently launched calls for proposals for research projects on the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The recent escalation of restrictions related to the COVID-19 outbreak may hamper applicants’ ability to prepare and finalise high-quality proposals. For this reason, for Horizon 2020 calls with original deadlines between now and 15 April, extensions will be applied.

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is open to all themes in all fields of sciences and all types of institutions and researchers of all career stages can participate.

The European Commission is boosting urgently needed research into coronavirus with €10 million from its research and innovation programme, Horizon 2020.

State aid: EU Commission approves €3.2 billion public support by seven Member States for a pan-European research and innovation project in all segments of the battery value chain.

Louvain-La-Neuve. From 9 - 10 December 2019 the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will participate in a workshop in Brussels with Bavarian actors from Nuremberg and Belgian stakeholders from the region of Wallonia. The aim of the event is to find joint research topics and cooperations in the fields of environmental and energy research that fit in future calls within the Horizon 2020 priorities "Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy" (SC3) and "Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials" (SC5).
