These facilities provide scientists with the resources they need to make breakthrough discoveries. They enable innovation, attract international talent and strengthen local innovation ecosystems.

Sustainable research infrastructure is not a luxury - it is key to Europe's competitiveness in the global science and technology market. Its further development is a key objective of the European Commission in the context of the European Research Area (ERA).
