Launch of the new ERA Talent Platform - 20 Years Supporting Researchers in Motion through EURAXESS
By uniting these services under one umbrella, the ERA Talent Platform addresses the research community’s demand for a centralised hub that provides all relevant information and enhances interoperability among such initiatives.
The Platform is launched in the framework of the EURAXESS Biennial Conference 2024, taking place in the 2024 European City of Science – Katowice, bringing together the European and worldwide network of EURAXESS and various stakeholders.
Iliana Ivanova, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, said:
“Today, we are thrilled to launch the new ERA Talent Platform, a one-stop-shop for vital information and services for the research community. This is another milestone on our journey towards a vibrant, interconnected European Research Area where talent knows no boundaries. We need to attract and retain talent in Europe for research and innovation to thrive and underpin our prosperity and competitiveness.”
Revamped EURAXESS portal and 20 Years Anniversary
During the event, the Commission also announced the revamping of the European EURAXESS portal, allowing now researchers and research-performing organisations to easier navigate and access information, apply for positions, and take advantage of services offered by the EURAXESS network.
In addition to improving user interaction, the revamped EURAXESS portal allows for better integration with other data systems such as EUROPASS, enhancing data exchange and interoperability. It also improves performance and strengthens security measures to safeguard user data. These updates are integral in supporting the European research community by simplifying access to useful resources and fostering cross-border collaborations.
