BayFOR signs cooperation agreement with Umweltcluster Bayern

The CEO of BayFOR, Martin Reichel, and Umweltcluster Bayern, Alfred Mayr, have signed a two-year cooperation agreement to intensify their collaboration. The aim is to actively promote innovation and the internationalisation of Bavarian universities and SMEs in the environmental sector in order to strengthen Bavaria as a location for business and science and to advance the circular economy.

Umweltcluster Bayern is the network of the Bavarian environmental industry. In close cooperation with politics, research, science and business, its work focuses on transfer, education and strengthening cooperation. Its central task is to network companies and research institutions in order to actively promote innovation and internationalisation in the environmental technology sector and thus strengthen Bavaria as a business location in the long term. For several years, Umweltcluster Bayern has been successful in acquiring and processing EU-funded projects with a focus on environmental technology.

BayFOR as project partner in the EU project CIRCOTRONIC

The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR), which is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, advises and supports Bavarian stakeholders from science and industry (especially SMEs) in acquiring European funding for research, development and innovation. The focus lies on the EU's framework programme for research and innovation, Horizon Europe. BayFOR is a partner in the Enterprise Europe Network and the Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency.
These excellent regional and European networks allow the realisation of internationalisation projects. As a project partner in the EU project CIRCOTRONIC, BayFOR is currently supporting Bavarian SMEs in the electrical industry on their way to a better circular economy. In particular, the cooperation agreement highlights the collaboration between the Umweltcluster Bayern and BayFOR in activities related to the Circotronic project and the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.

The aim of the collaboration is to promote and optimise the potential of both organisations in order to strengthen Bavaria as a location for research and innovation and to advance the circular economy.
