One Health AMR partnership: draft Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda published

The candidate Horizon Europe Partnership on antimicrobial resistance - One Health AMR - has published a first draft of its Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). The One Health AMR Partnership is currently being prepared through a Coordination and Support Action (CSA) and expected to start its activities in 2025. The CSA is coordinated by the Swedish Research Council and Germany’s DLR is a partner in the consortium.

Horizon Europe: 2025-27 Strategic Plan Analysis published

The European Commission has published a detailed analysis document that was compiled for the creation of the second Horizon Europe Strategic Plan, to cover the period 2025-27. The analysis will provide the basis for the new Strategic Plan which will guide development of the Work Programmes in the final three years of Horizon Europe. It includes an analysis of the current status of R&I in the EU, what changes are required in comparison to the first Strategic Plan and how EU and global policy developments should be reflected.

Statement by President von der Leyen on the resignation of Commissioner Gabriel

Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has accepted the resignation of Commissioner  Mariya Gabriel. Gabriel was presented to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria to receive the mandate to form a government and has therefore submitted her resignation as a member of the Commission.

EU Commission seeks expert group to optimise future research framework programmes

The European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation is looking for a group of experts to carry out an interim evaluation of Horizon Europe. It has launched a call for applications. The 15-member expert group will make strategic recommendations to the Commission on how to maximise the impact of future Framework Programmes.
