Powering the Future: Innovations in Modular and Sustainable Energy Storage

The growing demand for efficient and sustainable energy storage solutions has never been more urgent. As part of the Horizon Europe framework, HAVEN, SMHYLES und HIHELIOS projects are at the forefront of innovation, developing cutting-edge Hybrid Energy Storage Systems (HESS) to enhance energy resilience, grid reliability, and sustainability.
The aim of the HAVEN project is to develop intelligent, modular and scalable hybrid energy storage systems. SMHYLES focuses on the development of innovative, sustainable and safe hybrid energy storage systems based on salt and/or water. The HIHELIOS project is dedicated to demonstrating hybrid battery storage solutions with high energy and power density.
On 4 April, a one-hour webinar will provide participants with valuable insights into the role of hybrid energy storage systems in advancing the goals of the energy transition, supporting the electrical grid, and enabling large-scale deployment of renewable energy solutions. After the presentation of the individual projects and a Q&A session, the panel discussion ‘What are the biggest opportunities and challenges for Hybrid Energy Storage Systems?’ will take place. It will be moderated by BayFOR, project partner in SMHYLES.
The webinar is the ideal platform for industry professionals, policy makers, researchers and the general public who are interested in the future of energy storage technologies and want to exchange ideas with experts.
