Open calls in EU and national funding initiatives for research on COVID-19

To fight against the spread of COVID-19, the European Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) have recently launched calls for proposals for research projects on the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Extended deadlines for Horizon 2020 calls

The recent escalation of restrictions related to the COVID-19 outbreak may hamper applicants’ ability to prepare and finalise high-quality proposals. For this reason, for Horizon 2020 calls with original deadlines between now and 15 April, extensions will be applied.

Wallonia meets Energy Campus Nürnberg

Louvain-La-Neuve. From 9 - 10 December 2019 the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will participate in a workshop in Brussels with Bavarian actors from Nuremberg and Belgian stakeholders from the region of Wallonia. The aim of the event is to find joint research topics and cooperations in the fields of environmental and energy research that fit in future calls within the Horizon 2020 priorities "Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy" (SC3) and "Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials" (SC5).
