The European Commission has presented a comprehensive Action Plan on Drone Security and Counter-drone Capabilities. With this initiative, the European Union responds to the growing security risks posed by the malicious use of drones and aims to establish a coordinated European approach to prevent, detect and counter drone-related threats.

In addition to the standard calls published by the European Commission, the EU research and innovation programme Horizon Europe offers additional ways to access funding for research and innovation projects. One of these mechanisms is known as Cascade Calls, where already funded Horizon Europe projects or European partnerships launch their own calls for proposals.

The European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) is seeking experts to evaluate project proposals under Horizon Europe, the EU’s research and innovation programme for the period 2021–2027. Better utilisation of all talent, regardless of gender, should also contribute significantly to Europe's competitiveness and innovative strength.
