Enforcement of the Digital Services Act: New European Centre for Algorithmic Transparency is now open

On 18 April 2023, the EU Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) opened the European Centre for Algorithmic Transparency (ECAT) in Seville, Spain. The primary task of this centre is to enforce the Digital Services Act.

Expert knowledge: the Open Research Europe (ORE) platform

In March 2021, Open Research Europe (ORE), the EC's open access publishing platform was launched. Whether you are a partner in a Horizon Europe or Horizon 2020 project, or a grantee of a European Research Council action or Marie Skłodowska-Curie action, ORE is a platform for publishing your research, making it immediately open access, and having it peer-reviewed and ultimately indexed.

Horizon Europe: Work Programme 2023-24 update

Today, the Commission has adopted an amendment to the main Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023-2024. The aim of this amendment is to foster research and innovation supporting civil security for society and renewable energy with additional investments. This latest increase of the budget of the work programme for 2023 and 2024 brings it to an overall total of more than €13.5 billion.

European Commission: public consultation on defining an EU climate target for 2040

The European Climate Law calls on the European Commission to make a proposal to set an intermediate Union-wide climate target for 2040 with a view to achieving the climate neutrality objective by 2050 and to publish a report on the projected indicative GHG budget for 2030-2050.

New version of Annotated Model Grant Agreement published

The European Commission recently published a new version of the Annotated Model Grant Agreement (AGA) for Horizon Europe on the Funding & Tenders Portal. The document is still a draft version that does not yet contain explanations for all articles of the Model Grant Agreement and is therefore marked as version 1.0 Draft.

ESFRI: Strategic analysis of the research infrastructure landscape

ESFRI cordially invites Research Infrastructures (RI) of European importance and other ESFRI Stakeholder Forum members to provide their insights on topics of the current work plan (for example RI Landscape Analysis) by responding to Stakeholder Forum calls. To do so, you need to register as a member of the ESFRI Stakeholder Forum. Written contributions to the Landscape Analysis will be accepted until 7 April 2023. A further opportunity for feedback on the draft Landscape Analysis will be provided at an ESFRI workshop in September 2023, to which separate invitations will be issued.

Funding & Tenders Portal - the 2-factor authentication procedure is coming!
