Bavaria-Israel Online Info Session on Erasmus+ in Higher Education 2025
On 24 June 2024, the Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Israel of the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) and the Erasmus+ Office Israel are jointly inviting you to a digital information event on the upcoming Erasmus+ calls for proposals in higher education 2025. In addition to information about the individual funding programmes, participants also have the opportunity to meet new cooperation partners for joint project proposals.

Africa Forum Bavaria 2024
On 20 June 2024, the Africa Forum Bavaria 2024 will take place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria. Representatives of SMEs are invited to gather comprehensive information on cooperation opportunities with emerging economies in sub-Saharan Africa. The Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Africa will be present with a stand to provide information on research and innovation-oriented cooperation between stakeholders from Bavaria and African countries.

Partnerships for Horizon Europe (P4HEU)
On 18 June 2024, BayFOR will participate as a co-organiser in the 6th brokerage event 'Partnerships for Horizon Europe (P4HEU)', an online side event of the onsite conference '5G towards 6G for CitiVerse - AI, IoT Blockchain and XR: the drivers for urban innovation in Future Cities & Communities' scheduled for 20-21 June 2024 in Turin. BayFOR is on-site as an EEN partner and associated partner of the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) EDIH-Dino and provides information on thematically relevant EU funding programmes for research and innovation as well as on its support services for applying for EU funding.

Demo Day Bavaria & Latin America: Collaboration Opportunities for Innovation and Green Technologies
On 18 June 2024, the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy in Munich will hold the event “Demo Day Bavaria & Latin America: Collaboration Opportunities for Innovation and Green Technologies” in its premises in Munich. At this event, BayFOR will take part in a panel discussion on the topic “Current Global Landscape on GreenTech: Challenges and Opportunities for collaboration between Germany and Latin America”.

On 14 June 2024, Bayern Innovativ, like BayFOR one of the four partners in the Bavarian Research and Innovation Agency, invites you online to the ‘Webinar on Friday - Successful across Europe through cooperation’. The presentations at the event will show Bavarian companies a variety of opportunities for successful cooperation with international companies. In his presentation, Martin Reichel, CEO of BayFOR, will provide information on funding and support for Europe-wide research and innovation collaborations.

Excellence Lab Bavaria-Africa: Academic Freedom. Perspectives on African-European dynamics in international research projects
In cooperation with the "Pan-African Institute of Research and Innovation" (PIRI), the Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Africa is organising an online workshop on 4 June 2024 on academic freedom in the context of international research projects with African and European participation. Interested parties from universities, universities of applied sciences, research institutions, politics and civil society organisations are invited to discuss the challenges of academic freedom in international cooperations.

BayFOR at IFAT Munich 2024, World's Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Materials Management
IFAT Munich will once again open its doors from May 13 to 17. This trade fair provides a platform for showcasing technologies and solutions in the water, wastewater, waste and raw materials management sectors. The Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) will co-organise two programme items at IFAT Munich 2024 on the topic of 'Water Security in Africa' and will further provide information on thematically relevant (EU) funding programmes for research and innovation projects. BayFOR is also presenting tools for SMEs for a more circular economy as part of the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE project CIRCOTRONIC.

HYDROGEN Mobility Tech Conference (HYMOTEC)
The international conference "Hydrogen Mobility Tech" will take place on 19 and 20 March 2024 in Munich. The event aims to discuss the challenges and solutions that need to be overcome for a successful transition to a hydrogen economy. BayFOR will be present and will provide information on thematically relevant EU funding programmes for research and innovation as well as on its support services for applying for EU funding.

Forschungscafé – Scientific Exchange in post pandemic times
For our next Forschungscafé, we are pleased to welcome Dr Anne-Marie Pilote, Scientist in Résidence at the Québec Government Office in Munich. Dr Pilote, a Québec Postdoctoral Researcher in Information and Communication Sciences, will give insights into her science diplomacy role.
