In Solidarity with Israel
The brutal attacks on Israel are deeply shocking.
The final extent and consequences of the terror and kidnapping carried out by Hamas are not known yet, the long-term consequences are unpredictable. There is no justification for the killing and brutal violence against civilians.
Our thoughts are with the victims and their families and we express our sincere condolences to all those who lost their loved ones or fear for their life.
We stand firmly in solidarity with all Israelis, especially our many friends, partners and colleagues.
In light of the current situation in Israel, all planned events and activities of the Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Israel are postponed until further notice. More information can be found here.
In response to the disruption caused by the fallout of Hamas’ terrorist attacks across Israel, the European Commission has decided for an extension of several upcoming Horizon Europe call cut off dates, allowing more time to submit applications. The calls for which deadlines will be extended for all applicants, irrespective of the country where the organisation is based, are the following:
- The ERC Starting Grant Call will be extended from 24 October to 7 November;
- The ERC Synergy Call will be extended from 8 November to 15 November;
- The EIC Accelerator will be extended from 19 October to 8 November;
- The EIC Pathfinder will be extended from 18 October to 25 October.
