European Research Area Stakeholder Conference 2024

On 18-19 September 2024, the European Research Area Stakeholder Conference 2024 will take place in Brussels, organised by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, with the support of the Horizon Europe INSPIRING ERA project.

The European Research Area (ERA) aims to create a single, borderless market for research, innovation and technology in the EU. This year's DERA conference is dedicated to discussing successes and lessons learned after four years of ERA reorganisation. It will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the ambitions and challenges for the future of the ERA and the role of R&I policies in promoting sustainable European competitiveness.
The ERA Conference provides an excellent opportunity to network, learn from each other and help shape the future ERA policy agenda.

As part of this year's ERA Conference, an exhibition will showcase more than 15 successful EU-funded projects that support the implementation of the first ERA policy agenda (2022-2024) and thus contribute to improving ERA. More information on the EU projects can be found here.
