TUM 12 Natural Isotope Ratio of Bioelements as an Indicator of the Origin of Animal Products and of Animal Protein in Ruminant Feed
Global and positional isotope contents of organic natural materials are determined by biosynthesis and the isotope effects involved therein. Using this method that the *18O-value of the oxygen atom in p-position of tyrosin was found to be characteristic of its biosynthesis by plants or animals. This investigation will deal with if and how exactly the percentage of vegetable and animal protein sources in animal feed can be determined by the *18O-value of tyrosin from ruminant proteins.
Application:
proof of animal protein in feed
