BAVARIAN RESEARCH ASSOCIATION FOR CUSTOMIZED DIGITAL ENGINEERING FOR BAVARIAN SMES USING THE EXAMPLE OF THE DRIVE TRAIN OF BATTERY ELECTRIC VEHICLES
SP3 Development of a test bench kit for electric powertrain concepts
Field of work:
Working Group Context
In practice, both electric powertrain concepts and their topology show very different approaches to solutions, whereby the reduction of energy consumption and a related increase in range are the focus of current developments. However, the high momentum in the development process combined with a high number of variants makes it difficult to predict the future orientation of electromechanical drive systems and thus leads to an increased demand for flexible test systems. Therefore, within the scope of this SP a test bench kit for the experimental investigation of transmissions for BEVs is developed on the basis of a modular, generalized concept using methods of digital engineering. The test bench kit will be modularized with regard to its components (e.g. drive and control, measurement and sensor technology, data recording) in order to ensure the later scalability of the test setup and thus the use over a variable power range. The implementation of the described modular system for the demonstrator of the research association is mainly based on state-of-the-art measurement technology, which is selected beforehand by means of parameter identification and evaluation.
