Fo3F Trust in intercultural collaboration between small and medium-sized businesses: a comparison between Mexico and Japan
Field of work:
Culture-specific behavior of entrepreneurs in non-european countrieshttp://www.forarea.de
Small and medium-sized firms are increasingly developing cooperative relationships with firms from other countries. The importance of a trusting relationship between firms in cross-border relationships is greater than in collaborations on a national level. The difficulties in formulating and implementing detailed contractual controls and effective checking and sanctioning mechanisms grow with increasing geographical and cultural distance. The goal of the project is to increase understanding in the search for trusting business cooperation. The connection between the quality of trust in an intercultural cooperative effort and the economic success indicators will be established. Furthermore, concrete suggestions towards trust-based collaborative management will be developed.
