Aim of the project: The aim of the project MISTRAL is the implementation and performance analysis of the UB-Tree access structure. This project is carried out within the overall MISTRAL research project, where multidimensional indexing as well as its impact and applications on database management systems are investigated. The project consists of the following project phases:

  • Prototypic implementation of UB-Trees on a relational DBMS.
  • Preparation of the performance measurements of the UB-Tree access method
  • Carrying out the performance measurements of the UB-Tree access method


Additionally a schemata analysis method for indexing is developed.
