BAVARIAN RESEARCH ASSOCIATION FOR CUSTOMIZED DIGITAL ENGINEERING FOR BAVARIAN SMES USING THE EXAMPLE OF THE DRIVE TRAIN OF BATTERY ELECTRIC VEHICLES
SP5 Toolbox for analytical calculation of machine systems
The subproject provides a toolbox with analytical calculation possibilities for machine systems in the environment of an electric drive train. This toolbox is to be flexibly integrated into the digital development process and lead to an optimization of the workflow by targeted adaptation to user knowledge at critical points of the product development process.
The input for the analytical consideration is partly built up from information sources such as catalogue data of system components and material databases, partly from findings of numerical simulations and test data from test fields as well as data mining. The required data sets will be generated in other subprojects of the research network (working groups Context, Data and Requirements) and applied context-oriented in the toolbox. Statistical design of experiments supports a systematic approach to the design of machine systems. By means of analytical calculations, boundary conditions in the systems under consideration, such as shaft-hub connections, couplings or bearings, can first be determined, which are necessary for detailed considerations within the framework of complex finite element simulations. The results are then incorporated into the analytical analysis, so that the calculation results can be verified according to standards. At system level, the analytical analysis helps to avoid logic errors in the design and thus provides a control of the development process. The focus of the results is on revealing open potentials such as weight reduction and the identification of critical system components.
