*Bavaria*Israel* Workshop Series: How to build a HEU-proposal in the field of HEALTH

On May 24, May 31 and June 6, 2023, the Scientific Coordination Office Bavaria-Israel of the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) and the "Israel-Europe R&I Directorate" (ISERD) invite to a workshop series "How to build a HEU-proposal in the field of HEALTH " on the application process for calls from the current European Research Framework Program "Horizon Europe" within the framework of the 10th Bavarian-Israeli Think Tank.

The event is aimed at Bavarian and Israeli scientists from university and non-university research institutions as well as research-driving companies from the healthcare sector, who will have the opportunity to network with each other and discuss joint project ideas.

The focus is on four selected calls for proposals from Cluster 1 "Health" as well as key factors for a successful application in the two-stage application process:

• Which criteria have to be considered for a two-stage application?
• How do you write a convincing 10-page proposal?
• What does "blind evaluation" mean in practice?
• What should be considered when calculating a lump sum budget?

Calls:

• HORIZON-HLTH-2024-STAYHLTH-01-05-two-stage: Personalized prevention of non-communicable diseases - addressing areas of unmet needs using multiple data sources
• HORIZON-HLTH-2024-ENVHLTH-02-06-two-stage: The role of environmental pollution in non-communicable diseases: air, noise and light and hazardous waste pollution
• HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-03-08-two-stage: Comparative effectiveness research for healthcare interventions in areas of high public health need
• HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-03-13-two-stage: Validation of fluid-derived biomarkers for the prediction and prevention of brain disorders

The individual workshops will be accompanied by experts from the Scientific Coordination Office (WKS) Bavaria-Israel of the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR) and the Israel-Europe R&D Directorate (ISERD).
