Delegation trip from Israel to Bavaria: 2nd Bavaria-Israel Symposium in Munich: "Food Security" (20-22 May 2019)

The second Bavaria-Israel Symposium took place in Munich from 20-22 May 2019. 

 

The second Bavaria-Israel Symposium took place in Munich from 20-22 May 2019. 
It was organised and designed by the Scientific Coordination Office (WKS) Bavaria-Israel of the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR), the Bavarian office in Tel Aviv and the "Israel-Europe R&D Directorate" (ISERD). The focus was on " Food Security", a topic that is equally relevant for Bavaria and Israel. On the first day, a nine-member delegation of Israeli scientists visited various Bavarian institutions, including the "Landesanstalt für Lebensmittelsicherheit", the company "BayWa" as well as the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences and the UnternehmerTUM in Garching. 
On the second day, Bavarian and Israeli scientists met for a joint workshop in Munich, where they presented their own expertise and discussed selected calls for proposals from the EU's Horizon 2020 research framework programme.
