Interregional Workshop on Green Materials & Production for Batteries under Horizon Europe and other EU funding schemes
The transition to climate neutrality, including through clean and low emission mobility, will bring significant opportunities for economic growth, job creation and technological development in Europe. Demand for batteries is expected to grow very rapidly in the coming years. Forward-looking research, development and innovation policies will have a key role to enable Europe and its Member States to make the most of this transition. Therefore, the European Commission supports by funds the research and development of the whole value chain of batteries, e.g. materials, cell design and production processes for batteries of the next generation to make Europe an important battery location worldwide.
This brings interesting funding opportunities for European researchers specialized in battery technologies.
Therefore, we would like to invite you to join our online workshop, where you will have the opportunity:
- to meet with other researchers from academia and industry working on batteries;
- to hold a short presentation (pitch talk of max. 4 minutes) on your project idea,
the topic(s) you would like to address and the partners you are looking for; - to network with other participants, match on specific topics and initiate joint proposals/projects related to (e.g.):
1. the following Horizon Europe topics related to batteries (Deadline for proposal submission on 6 September 2022):
- HORIZON-CL5-2022-D2-01-01:
Sustainable processing and refining of battery grade graphite (Batteries Partnership) - HORIZON-CL5-2022-D2-01-02:
Interface and electron monitoring for the engineering of new and emerging battery technologies (Batteries Partnership) - HORIZON-CL5-2022-D2-01-03:
Furthering the development of a materials acceleration platform for sustainable batteries (combining AI, big data, autonomous synthesis robotics, high throughput testing) (Batteries Partnership) - HORIZON-CL5-2022-D2-01-04:
